Scott Hershberger
Science Communicator | Communications and Outreach at American Mathematical Society

Scott Hershberger received his bachelor's degree in mathematics and physics from Washington University in St. Louis, where he completed an undergraduate research project on representation theory of finite groups and another on parity-time symmetry in quantum mechanics. He writes feature stories, news, and announcements; creates Mathematical Moments posters; curates the monthly Math in the Media digests; and contributes to other communications and outreach projects. Before joining the communications team at the AMS, he wrote about all areas of science for Scientific American through the AAAS Mass Media Fellowship program and wrote about particle physics for Fermilab. Learn more about him on his personal website and find him on Twitter as @scotthersh314.
