Committee on the Profession
- Summary of Committee Charge
The Committee is to take a long range view of and provide major direction for Society activities on issues of a broad professional nature. Areas of concern include: human rights of mathematicians, employment issues and opportunities, professional development, increasing participation at all levels of under-represented groups, recognition and awards, membership and member services, professional ethics and responsibilities, and increased communication and cooperation with other disciplines.
Next meeting:Saturday, October 23 and Sunday, October 24, 2010 in Providence, Rhode Island at the AMS Headquarters.
