"Great job! My daughter loves it! I felt that she was well cared for."

For the fifth year, the American Mathematical Society and the Mathematical Association of America offered and significantly subsidized childcare services at the Joint Mathematics Meetings (JMM). The childcare was offered to parents through KiddieCorp, an organization that has been providing high quality programs for children of all ages at meetings throughout the U.S. and Canada since 1986.

The ages of the children ranged from 6 months to 8 years old. So, the staff was kept very busy! The theme for this year was "Wild Safari Adventures" and it was a huge success. The children enjoyed a wide assortment of arts and crafts that included making many things such as foam animals and flowers out of tissue paper. They also enjoyed playing with many of the toys and games provided such as Animal Pictionary, making an alligator puzzle, and Trouble.

All the parents indicated that KiddieCorp made a difference as to whether or not they were able to attend the meeting. They felt the hours and the children's program offered met their needs, and said they would use the KiddieCorp children's program at the next Joint Mathematics Meetings.
