Martin Kassabov Receives AMS Centennial Fellowship3 May 2007
Kassabov's main interests are in combinatorial algebra and its applications to group theory. A big part of his work involves studying representation theory of finite groups and constructions of expander graphs. His work also has applications to geometric group theory. Kassabov plans to use the fellowship to visit his collaborators in Imperial College London, Hebrew University Jerusalem, and Alfréd Rényi Mathematics Institute in Budapest.
