Texas Tech University to Host Mathematics Meeting

Providence, RI--Texas Tech University will host the Spring Central Section Meeting of the American Mathematical Society April 8-10. Over 300 mathematicians from 36 states and 23 countries will gather at the University for the meeting.

Department of Mathematics and Statistics participation in the meeting:

Twenty-two members of the mathematics and statistics faculty are giving talks at the meeting. Those speakers are: Wijesuriya P. Dayawansa, Lance D. Drager, David S. Gilliam, Petros Hadjicostas, Akif Ibragimov (two talks), Ram V. Iyer, Lourdes Juan, Kiyomi Kaskela, Anatoly B. Korchagin (two talks), Arne Ledet, Sandro Manservisi, Clyde F. Martin, Mara D. Neusel, Robert L. Paige, Victor Patrangenaru, Lih-Ing Wu Roeger, Lawrence Schovanec, Padmanabhan Seshaiyer, Alexander Yu. Solynin, Magdalena Daniela Toda, X. Alex Wang, and David A. Weinberg.

Seventeen department faculty members are co-authors of talks. (Numbers of co-authored talks are in parentheses.) Co-authors are: Edward J. Allen (three), Linda J. S. Allen (two), Roger W. Barnard (five), Wijesuriya P. Dayawansa, A. I. Ibragimov (two), Anatoly B. Korchagin, Jeffery M. Lee (two), Clyde F. Martin (three), Victor Patrangenaru (three), Kent Pearce (two), Frits Ruymgaart (three), Padmanabhan Seshaiyer (two), Victor Shubov, Philip W. Smith, Alex Yu. Solynin, David A. Weinberg, and G. Brock Williams (three).

Nineteen department faculty members are organizing sessions at the meeting. Session organizers are: Edward J. Allen (who is organizing two sessions), Linda J. S. Allen, Roger W. Barnard, W. P. Dayawansa, Razvan Gelca, David S. Gilliam, Akif Ibragimov, Lourdes Juan, Anatoly Korchagin, Arne Ledet, Wayne Lewis, Mara D. Neusel, Victor Patrangenaru, Kent Pearce, Lih-Ing Wu Roeger, Padmanabhan Seshaiyer (who is organizing two sessions), Magdalena D. Toda, David A. Weinberg, and Brock Williams.

Mathematics and statistics graduate students speaking at the meeting are: Ananda Bandulasiri, Baili Chen, Amy J. Drew, Bret M. Hanlon, James G. Hayes, Casey R. Hume, Ali Khoujmane (who is giving two talks), Rachel C. Koskodan, David R. Martin, Robert K. McCormack, Eric Murphy, Edward W. Swim, Lina M. Williams, and Nicholas J. Willis.
