Portland State University to Host Mathematics Meeting

Providence, RI:

Portland State University will host a joint meeting of the Western Section of the American Mathematical Society and the Pacific Northwest Section of the Mathematical Association of America, June 20-22. Approximately 300 mathematicians from 31 states and 8 countries will gather at the University to present results of their research and discuss teaching at the collegiate level.

Among these presentations will be six from members of the University’s Department of Mathematical Sciences, including two minicourses presented by members of the Department. In addition, three members of the Department’s faculty have organized sessions on two areas of research. More information about the meeting can be found here.
