PROVIDENCE, RIóSijue Wu, a mathematician at the University of Maryland, College Park, has won the 2001 Ruth Lyttle Satter Prize. Presented by the American Mathematical Society, the Satter Prize honors outstanding contributions to mathematics research by a woman in the previous five years.  The prize will be awarded on January 11, 2001, at the Joint Mathematics Meetings in New Orleans.
