The Memoirs of the AMS series is devoted to the publication of research in all areas of pure and applied mathematics. The Memoirs is designed particularly to publish long papers or groups of cognate papers in book form, and is under the supervision of the Editorial Committee of the AMS journal Transactions of the AMS. All articles submitted to this journal are peer-reviewed. The AMS has a single blind peer-review process in which the reviewers know who the authors of the manuscript are, but the authors do not have access to the information on who the peer reviewers are.

Starting in 2017, content for Memoirs of the AMS increased from 3,800 to 4,600 pages annually, giving users around 21% more content. This increase keeps readers up to date on the latest articles in all areas of pure and applied mathematics.
