The generation of nonlinear contraction semigroups, the Komura theorem, and the Crandall-Liggett theorem are explored, and there is a treatment of the convergence of difference approximations of Cauchy problems for $\omega$-dissipative operators and the Kobayashi generation theorem of nonlinear semigroups.
