Authors (or editors on behalf of authors) may now initiate the review process by submitting manuscripts electronically through the Initial Manuscript Submission form. Manuscript information is proofed by AMS staff before being forwarded to Centrack, at which time the PDF submitted by the author is visible under Centrack. If a manuscript is incorrectly forwarded to you, use the Request Manuscript be Reassigned feature on the View/Edit page. [Bulletin of the AMS does not follow this model as it has its own initial submission form.] |

When a manuscript is marked as accepted, notification mail is sent to AMS production staff. The form that generates this notification mail has been expanded to include more information about the manuscript. If updated information is entered on this form, the editor has the option of replacing the current Centrack data with the new information. When adding or editing a manuscript, the editor can now include the corresponding author's mailing address. |

Editors can maintain one current copy of a manuscript PDF. The PDF can be viewed from the summary pages and the View/Edit page. On the View/Edit page, there are now event shortcuts for Accept (final version) and Reject. These set the event date to the current date and send a standard notification message to the AMS. The event Deactivated manuscript has been replaced with Paper withdrawn. The paper is classified as Withdrawn rather than Cancelled. Manuscripts requiring extra attention are now flagged with *** next to the Paper ID. Questions can now be directed to centrack-help@ams.org |
