Rajendra Bhatia has written several expository articles for renowned journals such as The American Mathematical Monthly, Mathematical Intelligencer, and Resonance. These elementary articles have often spurred research papers by other authors. On the other hand, some of his research articles present major ideas in such a simple way that they can be profitably read by beginners. This volume contains a selection of such articles compiled by the editors.

The articles, on a variety of topics in analysis and linear algebra, can be read as introductions to interesting ideas. They can also be used as a basis for projects and master's dissertations and for workshops and refresher courses for college teachers.

A publication of Hindustan Book Agency; distributed within the Americas by the American Mathematical Society. Maximum discount of 20% for all commercial channels.
