Graduate Student Travel Grants
The AMS, with funding from a private gift, is accepting applications for partial travel support for graduate students attending the Joint Mathematics Meetings in New Orlens, LA, January, 2011.
This program is open to full time graduate students (in good standing) in a mathematical sciences department at a North American institution. A form to be signed by a representative of the department, agreeing to matching funding, will be part of the application package. Applications will be evaluated by a panel of mathematical scientists.
The awards, will be provided on a reimbursement basis. It is expected that awards will be made late in November, 2010. Those who receive awards will be given travel vouchers to submit after the travel is concluded. Any meeting attendee must complete and pay for a meeting registration as usual, and in fact the meeting registration fees will not be reimbursable under this grant.
The deadline for submitting applications will be late October, 2010. Awards or decline notifications will be made by email in late November, 2010.
The application form is no longer accessible, as the deadline has passed.
To verify that the AMS received your application, log into your MathPrograms.org account, go to your STATUS screen, and you should see this program listed.
