Updates on the Health of the Federal Statistical Agencies
The American Statistical Association (ASA) is monitoring changes to the federal statistical programs. The changes include cuts to programs, cancellations of data products, budget and staffing reductions. There are 13 principal agencies in the federal statistical system; the higher education community relies perhaps especially on the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES).
