Proper holomorphic mappings of the spectral unit ball

Abstract:

We prove an Alexander type theorem for the spectral unit ball $\Omega _{n}$ showing that there are no non-trivial proper holomorphic mappings in $\Omega _{n}$, $n\geq 2$.
