Abstract:

Let $\tau :J \to J$ be a piecewise ${C^2}$ map, where $J$ is an interval, satisfying $\left | {\tau ’} \right | > 1$. An upper bound for the number of independent absolutely continuous measures invariant under $\tau$ is presented.
