Abstract:
In this paper the concept of a neighborhood contractible space (or NC-space) is introduced. The class of NC-spaces is a proper subclass of the class of locally contractible compacta and it is shown that several classes of spaces, including the class of ANR-spaces. belong to the class of NC-spaces.References
