Abstract: In this paper we prove that the following two subspaces are tautly embedded with respect to Alexander-Spanier cohomology based on locally finitely-valued cochains: (i) any neighborhood retract of arbitrary topological space, and (ii) any compact subset of a Hausdorff space.
