Abstract:

A formula for $\operatorname {Re} {{\text {s}}_x}({\Phi _a}({x^b}),{\Phi _c}({x^d}))$ is given where ${\Phi _a}(x)$ denotes the ath cyclotomic polynomial. This extends a result of Lehmer, Diederichsen, and Apostol.
