Abstract:

Let $\mathbb{Q}(p^\infty)$ be the field obtained by adjoining to $\mathbb{Q}$ all $p$-power roots of unity where $p$ is a prime number. We prove that the theory of $\mathbb{Q}(p^\infty )$ is undecidable.
