Abstract:

Let $p$ be an odd prime number. The purpose of this paper is to provide a $p$-group $\mathcal {G}$ whose mod-$p$ cohomology ring has a nilpotent element $\xi \in H^{*}(\mathcal {G})$ satisfying $\xi ^{p}\ne 0$.
