Abstract:

The article "Recovery by a single measurement" by Amin Boumenir is retracted by the author on May 11, 2017 because the main theorem used an assumption that cannot hold in general. The article was not withdrawn because of errors or technical problems found by reviewers or editors.

Using a matrix representation of the Laplacian operator, we give a simple spectral condition for the solvability by a single measurement of the inverse problem related to a classical elliptic problem. This condition involves the spectra of the Laplacian under two different boundary conditions.
