Abstract:

We develop a $C^1$ function $f: [- \frac {1}{6}, 1] \rightarrow [- \frac {1}{6}, 1]$ for which $\Lambda (f) \not = \overline {P(f)}$. This answers a query from Block and Coppel (1992).
