Geometry of the symmetrized polydisc

Abstract.

We describe all proper holomorphic mappings of the symmetrized polydisc and study its geometric properties. We also apply the obtained results to the study of the spectral unit ball in \(\mathcal{M}_n (\mathbb{C}^n ).\)
