Delay induced traveling wave fronts in reaction diffusion equations of KPP-Fisher type

Abstract

This paper explores the impact of delay on the existence of traveling wave fronts in reaction–diffusion equations of KPP–Fisher type. For two such equations, one being local and the other with nonlocal effect arising from the age structure of the population, we show that delay can induce slow traveling wave fronts.
