Abstract:

We prove nonexistence and uniqueness of positive $C^{2}$–solutions of the elliptic equation $\Delta u +a(x)u - K(x)u^{\sigma }=0$, $\sigma >1$, on a nonpositively curved, complete manifold $(M,g)$ .
