Abstract:

The groups $\mathrm {GL}(5,\mathbb {Z})$, $\mathrm {SL}(5,\mathbb {Z})$, $\mathrm {SL}(6,\mathbb {Z})$, $\mathrm {GL}(7,\mathbb {Z})$ and $\mathrm {SL}(7,\mathbb {Z})$ are (2,3)-generated.
