This workshop will examine the influx of new ideas, trends, and advances in geometric group theory with focus on: (1) analysis (Baum-Connes conjecture, Kazhdan's property, amenability, soficity, rapid decay); (2) statistics (random walks, random subgroups, percolation, generic properties of groups); and (3) geometry (Cannon conjecture, boundaries, BNS invariants, bounded (co)-homology of groups, isoperimetric functions).
