"Hoffman's Erdos is number one", Nature, 17 June 1999, page 654.

This year's winner of the Rhone-Poulenc Prize for Science Books went to Paul Hoffman's The Man Who Loved Only Numbers: The Story of Paul Erdos and the Search for Mathematical Truth. Another book about a mathematician also appeared among the six finalists for the prestigious award: A Beautiful Mind, by Sylvia Nasar, which is a biography of the mathematician John Nash, winner of the Nobel Prize in Economics.
