"Mathematics in a Bottle: Turning geometry inside out," by Jennifer Kahn. Discover, November 2002.

The manufacturer of the Klein Bottle, Cliff Stoll, is profiled. He started to manufacture and market this "topological marvel" in 1997, after he presented it to some enthusiastic mathematicians at the University of California at Berkeley. The Klein Bottle, conceived by the mathematician Felix Klein in 1882, consists of a single continuous surface. Kahn describes how the glass bottle is made and a photograph accompanies the article. Stoll's company, Acme Klein Bottle Inc., has expanded its mathematical product line to include the "Klein Stein". Stoll is one of the exhibitors at the Joint Mathematics Meetings.
