"Partial reflection": Review of Science in the Looking Glass, by E. Brian Davies. Reviewed by Robert Crease. New Scientist, 13 September 2003, pages 52-53.
According to this brief review, this book "is mainly concerned with debunking the Platonist account of mathematics," which the author describes as the view that "numbers exist indepndently in some objective sense." The reviewer says that the best parts of the book are the discussions from the history of mathematics and science, and "the weakest parts are [the author's] arguments."
