West Coast Algebraic Topology Summer School
Month: July 2012
Date: July 16--21
Name: West Coast Algebraic Topology Summer School
Location: Stanford University, Stanford, California.
Description
This summer school is aimed at graduate students and post-docs, though all are welcome. The scientific goal is to provide a modern introduction to algebraic K-theory, with the aim of bringing participants to the research frontier. In particular, the workshop will focus on the algebraic K-theory spectrum, trace methods for computing, localization phenomena, and applications to the topology of manifolds. Some participants will be preparing and giving lectures which have been planned in advance by the scientific committee. The number of lectures each day will be limited, and the the additional time used for activities to complement lectures.
Scientfic Committee
Andrew Blumberg, Bill Dwyer, Teena Gerhardt, John Klein, and Mike Mandell.
