2008 Mathematical Sciences Employment CenterThe Employment Center served a total of 550 applicants and 135 employers this year; both of these numbers are down slightly from the previous year. Employers and applicants interviewed in two areas: a computer-scheduled section, and an employer invitation-only section. Participants utilized an on-site message center and pre-printed books of job listings and resume forms. A few newer electronic features included wireless access for employers, and the availability of electronic applicant data.
Participants in the Employment Center appreciated the efforts of the AMS staff, under the supervision of Colleen Rose.
