More on DBIS
Supported by a coalition of scientific and engineering professional societies and a generous contribution from the National Science Foundation, DBIS promotes awareness of and appreciation for the role science, technology, engineering, and mathematics play in daily life. Each month, DBIS provides 12 reports (in both English and Spanish) to subscribing local TV stations all over the United States. Each story is scientifically reviewed to ensure its accuracy. The role of the AMS is to seek out and define story ideas that highlight breakthroughs in and applications of mathematics. DBIS development and distribution information is also available for media newsrooms.
