"The Logic of Human Learning," by Nick Chater, and "Minimization of BooleanComplexity in Human Concept Learning," by Jacob Feldman. Nature, 5October 2000.
Jacob Feldman, of Rutger's University's Center for Cognitive Science, presentsevidence that how difficult a concept is to learn can be measured by theshortest Boolean string required to express that concept. Feldman's work fitswell with the idea of Kolmogorov complexity, which measures the complexity of aconcept by the the length of the shortest computer program that could generateit.
