"Renaissance Man": Review of The Book of My Life, by Girolam Cardano.Reviewed by John Bonner. NewScientist, 9 August 2003, page 53.
"Mathematician, physician, engineer and charlatan---Girolamo Cardano was one ofthe great polymaths of the Italian renaissance," the reviewer writes. He notesthat this book, written with no attempt at presenting a clear chronology, appears strange to modern readers. Nevertheless "it is imposible not to admire[Cardano's] restless mind and refreshingly candid reflections".
