The African Institute for Mathematical Sciences is a postgraduate mathematicsinstitute that opened recently in Cape Town, South Africa. The Institute willoffer courses in both pure and applied mathematics. Clarke writes that morethan 100 academics worldwide have volunteered to lecture at the Institute.Courses are free for the students.
