"A beautiful find," by Tommy Tomlinson. Charlotte Observer, 16 November 2003.

In this article, Tomlinson presents for a general audience the story of one mathematician's four-and-a-half-year process of solving a difficult math problem: proving that two particular Brauer groups are the same. The mathematician, John Swallow of Davidson College in Davidson, North Carolina, along with colleague Jack Sonn of the Israel Institute of Technology in Haifa, Israel, published their work, "Brauer Groups of Genus Zero Extensions of Number Fields," in a recent edition of Transactions of the AMS. Their work resolves a problem mathematicians had first considered at least twenty-five years ago.
