Topology, Algebra, Analysis -- Relations and Missing Links

The statements of a number of theorems in algebraic topology, some classical and some recent, can be "linearized" to give relatively easy results. Direct proofs of the theorems from the linearized versions would likely have some general significance, but no such proofs are known.
