Is the Sky Still Falling?

Over the past decade mathematicians have been increasingly concerned about the number of undergraduate students studying mathematics and the consequences thereof, an important one being a possible decreasing need for mathematics faculties to teach them. The author reviews current data, finding cause for both optimism, in increasing numbers, and pessimism, in declining percentages.
