International Mathematics Competition for University Students

The Twenty-Fifth International Mathematics Competition (IMC) for University Students will be organised by University College London and hosted in late July/early August 2018, by the American University in Bulgaria, Blagoevgrad, Bulgaria. Exact dates are to be announced. Participating universities are invited to send several students and one teacher; individual students are welcome. The IMC is intended for students just completing their first, second, third, or fourth years of university education with a maximum of 23 years of age. There is no minimum age. It is a residential competition and all student participants are required to stay in the accommodation provided by the hosts. The competition will consist of two sessions of five hours each. Problems will come from the fields of algebra, analysis (real and complex), geometry, and combinatorics. The working language will be English. Over the past 24 Competitions the IMC has had participants from over 200 institutions from over 50 countries.
