The Canadian Applied and Industrial Mathematics Society (CAIMS) and the Pacific Institute for Mathematical Sciences (PIMS) sponsor the Early Career Award in Applied Mathematics to recognize exceptional research in applied mathematics, interpreted broadly, by a researcher fewer than ten years past earning a PhD. The nominee's research should have been conducted primarily in Canada or in affiliation with a Canadian university.
