- PROMOTING UNDERGRADUATE RESEARCH IN MATHEMATICS With funding from the National Security Agency (NSA), the AMS organized the 2006 conference, "Promoting Undergraduate Research in Mathematics" (PURM). PURM brought together a diverse group of people who are actively involving undergraduates in research programs of all types. The proceedings volume, edited by Joseph A. Gallian, has recently been published and is now available as a downloadable PDF document.
