Partitions, Egyptian fractions, and free products of finite abelian groups

Abstract:

Some computational questions concerning free products of finite abelian groups are reduced to questions in additive number theory involving partitions and Egyptian fractions. These in turn are resolved employing the Mathematica extsctm computer system.
