Instructions
Please supply, for each advertisement, insertion insertion instructions that clearly state: name of publication, advertiser, date to be inserted, size, and identification of advertisement, plus any special instructions.
Copy Requirements
Originals are preferred, but the AMS will accept copy to be typeset. The AMS will charge advertisers cost + 15% for normal copy; difficult composition and/or extensive alterations from advertiser will be charged according to the labor involved. Also, the advertiser will be charged for any repairs made to damaged copy, or for any screening requested. Mechanicals requiring more than normal camera work will be charged at cost + 25%. Bleeds, $25 extra.

Photo-Offset; 133-line screen.
Proof Sheets
Tear sheets will be mailed with invoices.
Rates
Rates are for black and white standard space units, except where indicated. Any individual or institutional member is entitled to a 20% discount on display ads. This discount does not apply to university presses or institutional members, nor publishers with whom members are associated.
Rate Protection Policy
Rate protection is extended for the contract period on all contracts in force at the date of notice of rate increase. Orders for more than a year in advance are not accepted. A contract year starts from the date of the first insertion. All Rates are subject to change without notice.
Short Rate Information
Advertisers will be short rated if, within a 12-month period from the date of first insertion, they do not use the amount of space on which their billings have been based. If more space is used than contracted, adjustment to a lower rate will be made.
Cancellations
Cancellations are not accepted after the first of the month preceding each issue deadline.
Publisher's Approval
The publisher reserves the right to reject any advertising not in keeping with the publication's standards. Advertising that simulates editorial content is not accepted. Acceptance shall not be construed as approving the accuracy or legality of any advertising.
Liability
The advertiser and advertising agency assume sole liability for all content of the advertisement printed, including without limitation claims of copyright infringement or unfair competition, and also assume sole responsibility for any claims arising therefrom against the publisher.
Delinquent Accounts
Advertisers with delinquent accounts must pay the previous balance and prepay the new advertisement.
