It is great that the AMS is able to conduct this competition which values and encourages mathematical talent. While sports are usually celebrated, it is wonderful that students interested in mathematics can also be encouraged. I sincerely hope that many more students gain the opportunity to participate in this competition.
Some people use automated programs to download files from the AMS website. This type of activity generally puts on heavy burden on the AMS network. In an effort to reduce system overload and to thwart automated processes we have enactedthis "Access Key" procedure.
Automated programs cannot interpret the characters you see in the box, only people can. When you enter the Access Key, it ensures us that the request is coming from a real person. If you don't see an image, make sure your browser is set to display images and try again. If you're not sure what the Access Key is, make your best guess. If you're incorrect, you'll get another chance to enter a different Access Key. Once you have entered the correct Access Key, youwill automatically be directed to the page you requested.
The Access key is NOT case sensitive and is always five characters long consisting of a-z and 1-9.
