This message is a follow-up to am email you received yesterday regarding 2023 royalty payments. It has been brought to our attention that there is a glitch some are experiencing when using the secure link for returning forms. Below please find the original message, instructions and tips for using the secure link, and additional contact information for questions or requests related to royalties. Thank you for your patience as we work to improve the royalty process.
We are reaching out regarding 2023 royalty payments (on 2022 sales). We're currently engaged with a vendor to upgrade the royalty tracking software system used at the AMS. The upgraded system has enhanced functionality, new features, and should result in a smoother annual royalty statement and payment process for all of our authors.
The upgrade will delay this years' royalty payments. We will remain in contact with you during the process, and provide updates as we have them. We truly appreciate your understanding as we work towards launching an improved annual royalty process for all.
We would also like to use this communication as an opportunity to collect updated information on our authors. Attached please find these forms:
- Domestic ACH Authorization – authorizes the AMS to send payments directly to your domestic bank.
- International WIRE Authorization – authorizes the AMS to send payments directly to your international/foreign bank
- W9/W8BEN – these are tax forms we are required to have on file in order to process payments. W9 should be filled out by individuals that are US residents for tax purposes. W8BEN should be filled out by any individual who is not a resident of the US for tax purposes.
- Vendor Update – please use this to update contact information.
If you have recently provided this information to us, or have nothing to update, you do not need to return these forms.
