This gold open access electronic-only journal is devoted to shorter research articles (not to exceed 15 published pages) in all areas of pure and applied mathematics. To be published in the Proceedings, Series B, a paper must be correct, new, and significant. Further, it must be well written and of interest to a substantial number of mathematicians. Piecemeal results, such as an inconclusive step toward an unproved major theorem or a minor variation on a known result, are in general not acceptable for publication. Longer papers may be submitted to the Transactions of the AMS. Published pages are the same size as those generated in the style files provided for AMS-LaTeX.
New articles should be submitted to the Proceedings of the AMS Editorial Board since this board manages peer review for both the Proceedings of the AMS and the Proceedings of the AMS, Series B. Information can be found on the Submission for Peer Review page.
Article processing charge:
This freely available journal is supported by Article Processing Charges (APCs). It is generally assumed that an APC will be paid by a funding agency or by the author’s institution and not by the author personally. Payment of the APC is required before an article will move into production; only those articles with paid APC will enter the Proceedings, Series B, queue. The Article Processing Charge is: List Price US$1,500 (2014 discount price US$750).
