AMS eContent Copyright Information and Terms of Use

Copyright, database rights, and all other intellectual property rights in AMS eContent throughout the world are the exclusive property of the American Mathematical Society ("AMS"). AMS eContent is subject to the following terms of use by you, the purchaser or subscriber, or other authorized user ("you"). Your use of AMS eContent constitutes acceptance of these terms:

  1. You may, subject to the limitations set forth below:
    • Make searches of AMS eContent.
    • Make one or more copies of chapters or articles in hard copy form of the output of any search solely for your own personal use. Such copies may not be sold and may not be distributed to any third party.
    • Download search results to your hard disk or to a CD-ROM or other digital storage medium solely for your own personal use. Such data may not be made available to any third party.

"Personal use" means use for your own scholarly research and not in connection with any commercial enterprise, whether or not for-profit.

  1. You may not:
    • Download substantial portions of the titles in AMS eContent.
    • Conduct automated searching or downloading, by use of scripted searches, robots, spiders, crawlers, or otherwise.
    • Make AMS eContent available to any third party, whether by telephone link, password sharing, permitting access through your computer, or by other similar or dissimilar means or arrangements.
  2. You must maintain all copyright and other notices that appear on any material you download or print from this website.

  4. In the event of any non-permitted use of AMS eContent or other violation of these terms of use, the AMS reserves the right to terminate, or suspend for such period of time as it deems appropriate, your access to AMS eContent, and will not in such event be liable for any refund of any subscription fee.
  5. The AMS has made and will make good faith efforts to ensure that the material in AMS eContent is complete and accurate. However, the AMS does not warrant completeness or accuracy, and does not warrant that your use of AMS eContent will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that the results obtained will be useful or will satisfy your requirements. The AMS warrants that it is entitled to grant the licenses outlined in this Agreement, but makes no other warranties or representations of any kind, expressed or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, all of which the AMS expressly disclaims. In no event will the AMS be liable for special, incidental, consequential, or other damages arising from the use of materials on this website.
  6. The AMS reserves the right to remove material from AMS eContent for any reason whatsoever at its discretion.
  7. For figures, photos, artwork or any other content or materials included in AMS eContent that is credited to non-AMS sources, readers may view, browse, and/or download material for temporary copying purposes only, provided these uses are for noncommercial personal purposes. Except as provided by law, this material may not be further reproduced, distributed, transmitted, modified, adapted, performed, displayed, published, or sold in whole or in part, without prior written permission from the copyright-holding publisher.
