A Wallpaper Pattern
There are 17 distinct plane crystallographic groups. These groups are, bydefinition, the symmetry groups of arrangements of discrete geometric figureswhich tile the plane. Thus, each of these arrangements can be represented bya "wallpaper" pattern.
