The manufacturer of the Klein Bottle, Cliff Stoll, is profiled. He started tomanufacture and market this "topological marvel" in 1997, after he presented itto some enthusiastic mathematicians at the University of California atBerkeley. The Klein Bottle, conceived by the mathematician Felix Klein in 1882,consists of a single continuous surface. Kahn describes how the glass bottle ismade and a photograph accompanies the article. Stoll's company, Acme KleinBottle Inc., has expanded its mathematical product line to include the "KleinStein". Stoll is one of the exhibitors at the Joint Mathematics Meetings.
